Synopsis: A suffocating day in August 1945, the inhabitants of a town prepare for the wedding of the son of an official of the town hall. Meanwhile, two Orthodox Jews arrive at the train station carrying two mysterious boxes. The official fears that the men are children of the Jews who were deported, who come to claim the properties that they now have illegally, lost by their owners during the 2nd World War. Other locals are afraid that more survivors will come and that they represent a threat to the lands and possessions they now claim as theirs.
