Description:
TALK: WHAT'S THAT BIRD?: BIRDWATCHING in and AROUND OAXACA CITY
Presented by Frances Wood
MONDAY, JANUARY 20, 5 PM
MX$90 (M) MX$130 (NM)
Frances Wood returns to help us learn about and appreciate the amazing birdlife in the Oaxaca area...the common birds that we often see here in town and as well as the extraordinary birds that are unique to this area. Frances has been developing additions to this lecture based on the common questions that new and experienced birders often ask. Her presentation will feature bird photos by Evelyn Carey.
Frances Wood has been birding in Mexico for over 20 years. She inherited her love of nature from her writer-naturalist father and a mother who loved to garden. Writer, artist, teacher, and mother of two sons, Frances completed the Master Birding course offered by Seattle Audubon, which sent her headlong into the all-consuming world of an avid birdwatcher. Each winter since 1990, she has traveled or lived in Latin America, participating in conservation projects, training local nature guides, or just feeding her birdwatching habit. Frances' book, Brushed by Feathers: A Year of Birdwatching in the West, was published in 2004./
CHARLA: ¿QUÉ ES ESA AVES ?: AVISO DE AVES y ALREDEDOR DE LA CIUDAD DE OAXACA

LUNES 20 DE ENERO 5 PM
MX $ 90 (M) MX $ 130 (NM)
El libro de Frances, Brushed by Feathers: A Year of Birdwatching in the West, se publicó en 2004.
