Amaranth in the agriculture and culture of Oaxaca by Pete Noll & Iris Parra

Puente a la Salud Comuntaria (Bridge to Community Health) recently celebrated its 15-year anniversary as a nonprofit organization promoting the cultivation, consumption and commercialization of amaranth in Oaxaca. The group’s holistic work includes promoting food sovereignty in 30 communities in the Mixteca and Valles Centrales.

Pete Noll, the Executive Director for the past ten years, and Iris Parra, the Development Director, will share their experiences on what it is like to run their organization and where they see the future of their work.
