Spanish Immersion with Susana Medina and Tlayudona
This is the second session of the food-related experiences in Tlayudona’s series of hands-on Spanish immersion experiences with Susana Medina, our certified Spanish teacher and host. This series is meant to compliment your conventional Spanish classes by providing fun and interesting ways to immerse yourself in the language. Most of the events are available to language-learners of all levels. You can reserve your spot in any or all of the experiences in this series. Cocina Oaxaqueña/ Oaxacan Cuisine
What:
“Cocina Oaxaqueña” will be the culmination of our previous day’s efforts in the mercado (although it can be reserved as a singular experience). We’ll prepare a delicious guacamole at Tlayudona with local ingredients, as well as an accompanying “agua de sabor”. You’ll get to strengthen your vocabulary as you learn to prepare these local delights, especially the verbs used in the kitchen. Spanish learners of all levels are welcome to participate, as this is a very hands-on experience.

When:
Wednesday, October 17th 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Where:
Tlayudona (#100 Hidalgo, Barrio Jalatlaco, next to the Emax school, a block from the Jalatlaco temple)

Cost:
250 MXN per person. (When you reserve both culinary Spanish immersion experiences, you receive a discount of 50 MXN per person.)

This class has a maximum of 8 participants, so prior reservation is strongly suggested in order to ensure your spot.

Book both your “Visita al Mercado”/ Trip to the Market as well as your “Cocina Oaxaqueña”/ Oaxacan Cuisine experiences and receive a 50 MXN discount per person.
