Samhain es un festival gaélico que marca el fin de la temporada de cosecha y el inicio del invierno o lo que se conoce como 'la mitad oscura' del año.

Samhain era considerado como un periodo liminal , cuando cruzar la frontera entre este mundo y el más allá se volvía más fácil.También se pensaba que las almas de los muertos visitaban sus hogares en busca de hospitalidad. Había banquetes, donde se les invitaba y se colocaba una mesa para ellos.

Las momias y los disfraces eran parte de la festividad y la gente iba de puerta en puerta disfrazada. Samhain se convirtió en lo que hoy se conoce como Halloween y es el equivalente del día de muertos en Irlanda.

Tendremos una performance muy especial durante la noche.

Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the "darker half" of the year.

Samhain was seen as a liminal time, when the boundary between this world and the Otherworld could more easily be crossed. The souls of the dead were also thought to revisit their homes seeking hospitality. Feasts were had, at which the souls of dead kin were beckoned to attend and a place set at the table for them.

Mumming and guising were part of the festival, and involved people going door-to-door in costume. Samhain was the origins of the modern Halloween and I guess Ireland's equivalent of day of the dead.
