Description:

Santa Maria el Tule is a delightful small village 10 kms (6 miles) east of Oaxaca which is justly famous for the gargantuan tree in the church courtyard. This hike begins in the colonia of Rosario in the southeast corner of Oaxaca and uses a rough jeep road to cross a hillside before descending into the Tlacolula Valley.
