Located in the north central part of the city of Oaxaca is a large park, El Llano (its official name is Paseo Juárez). It dates from the colonial era and originally contained the city's zoo and other social areas. Later it was changed to its current form, with two great fountains and in the center, a monument to the most illustrious of all Oaxacans, Benito Juarez. The park is surrounded by buildings such as the Juárez Theater, the Temple and former Convent of Guadalupe, the Temple of Our Lady of Sponsorship, as well as restaurants and shops.

Ubicado en la parte central norte de la ciudad de Oaxaca, se encuentra un gran parque, El Llano (su nombre oficial es Paseo Juárez). Data de la época colonial y originalmente contenía el zoológico de la ciudad y otras áreas sociales. Más tarde se cambió a su forma actual, con dos grandes fuentes y en el centro, un monumento al más ilustre de todos los oaxaqueños, Benito Juárez.
