Identification of Textile Fibers Under the Microscope
Instructor: Christophe Moulherat, of the Musee du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, France
Specialist in analysis and study of textiles, Christophe Moulherat will give a workshop on observing and identifying fiber under the microscope. Local and foreign fibers will be studied both in longitudinal and transverse cuts. This call is aimed at researchers with textile materials under their charge, whether for research, documentation and / or conservation.
The workshop is free, however, those interested should send: letter of interest and updated CV to the account: info@museotextil.org no later than December 20, 2018. The selected persons will be notified on 27 of December 2018.

Especialista en análysis y estudio de textiles, Christophe Moulherat impartirá un taller de observacio4n e idenfiicación de fibras al microscopio. Se estudiarán fibres locales y extranjeras tanto en cortes longitudinales como transversales. Esta convocatoria está dirigida a investigadores con materiales textiles a su cargo, ya sea para investigación, documentación y/o conservación.
